Sprinting Exalted with Athletics are the fastest units in the game on the tactical map, apart from some specific Tigran hero builds.
Tigrans also get Sprint for all their infantry units at the Deity level of Race Governance, which means they get Sprinting Crusaders and Exalted, they just have so much speed. They can engage and guard against more enemies because they can move farther, and Predator punishes them harder if they try to escape engagement. Tigran Crusaders also get Sun Shield, which makes them pretty tanky, and Predator and Athletics work really well on Crusaders. Theocrats get some boosts to resistances with moves like Touch of Faith, Aura of Resistance, and Divine Protection to counteract the resistance penalty on Tigrans, and Theocrats also get wonderful healing to support the Tigrans.
